IMPORTANT: Maine Historical Society members must register for an account to access Member Portal content. After choosing your Username and Password, you will be required to enter your MHS Membership ID number, found in your new member packet or on the membership response letter. Don't know your MHS membership number?

Don't know your member number?

When you become a member of the Maine Historical Society, you are assigned a membership number. This number should remain the same when you renew your membership. Your membership number will appear on the membership card which is sent to you after the purchase of your membership. If you cannot locate your membership number, contact us at 207-774-1822 ext. 222 or email membership@mainehistory.org. We will be happy to help you. Membership numbers are required when setting up your member portal account, but not necessary at future logins.
